The big advantage Marbesa – Caribplaya has, is the possibility to make long walks or to ride a bicycle. The neighbourhood is relatively levelled compared to most other areas. On the east side of Marbesa – Caribplaya the Dunas de Artola (Dunes of Artola) are located. These fossil and mobile dune systems, forming with almost 200,000 m2 an area of great interest and have been declared Natural Reserve by the Andalusian government. With a short walk or drive the little picturesque port of Cabopino can be reached. Enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner in the marina while watching the sunlight reflect on the yachts or take the kids to feed the hundreds of fish.

Shops
Located in the area is an Opencor. Open 18 hours a day, 365 days a year. There is a commercial centre at Elviria a 5 minutes drive away, which has two supermarkets, pharmacy, doctor post, bars, banks, gift shops, cafes and another popular restaurant ‘Asia Food’ serving Chinese, Cantonese and Indian dishes.

Drive in less than 10 minutes to the commercial park of La Cañada. This Shopping Centre is one of the best shopping centres on the Costa del Sol. Next to a huge arsenal of more than hundred shops, it also has hairdressers, restaurants, Alcampo Supermarket, bowling centre, arcade hall, cinema and a state of art gymnasium.

Restaurants
The restaurant Ra-Ma has an international cuisine with great fresh fish. This large and friendly restaurant has a comprehensive menu including barbecued meat. Worth visiting for the thousand year old carved olive tree.
The Restaurant Simbad El Marino in Marbesa serves an extensive range of fresh fish and seafood, with a saltwater tank full of lobsters for the picking! This restaurant is very popular with German visitors and the residents of Marbesa.

Other interesting restaurants in this area are the Restaurant Club 2000 where you can enjoy fish, paella and barbecue on a narrow area of beach and restaurant Triana that is popular with nudist sunbathers because of its fish.
The Jamaica Inn is a lively beach bar with an international and Caribbean menu. Water sports are available and every Monday evening it serves live music.

Golf
The Golf course of Cabopino with its 18 holes is only a 5 minutes drive away. The courses of Santa Maria, Santa Clara and Rio Real can all be reached in about 10 minutes.
